Architectural Thesis Award: XI International Architecture Biennale of Santo Domingo
The project is based on a design exploration of the production process of sugar cane. The popular sweetener has a leading role in the economical and social development of the region. The project main space is used as a museum, containing art and history of the region. Community class rooms, an indoor auditorium and an amphitheater are also for the use of the locals and the general public. A restaurant with a view of the sea is located at the top level of the building.
